Andrew Murtha, born on 19 October 1965 in Parramatta, New South Wales, is an Australian short track speed skater. He competed in the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics, where he was part of the team that won Australia's first Winter Olympic medal, a bronze, in 1994. Previously, he contributed to Australia winning its first World Championship in winter sports in 1991. Murtha began his skating career in Blacktown and trained at Canterbury Olympic Rink, eventually becoming recognized as Sportsperson of the Year in both 1991 and 1994 by the City of Blacktown.
