He began writing poetry in 1990 and graduated from the Gorky Literary Institute in Moscow in 1997. After working in various jobs, he returned to poetry, with his verses published in several major newspapers. In 2009, he received the unique award known as 'Stelula faluso', which is given to artists and cultural figures whose works challenge official culture, having been awarded since 2008.
