Andries Dirk Copier was a Dutch designer known for his decorative and functional objects made from glass and porcelain. He began working at the Leerdam glass factory at the age of 13 and eventually became a key figure there until 1970. Copier studied typography and later attended the Rotterdam Academy of Art. He designed glassware and porcelain, and founded a glass school in Leerdam. He also led the Amsterdam School of Crafts, contributing significantly to Dutch design throughout his career.
