Haav graduated from the Estonian Music Academy in 1993 and earned a master's degree in 1997 from Sibelius Academy. He has performed as a soloist with various symphony orchestras, participated in international violin competitions, and received prestigious awards. He has also served as a professor at the Estonian Music Academy and a concertmaster for Finnish and Estonian orchestras.
