Andrew Anthony 'Andy' Hanson was an American photojournalist born on March 7, 1932, in Falfurrias, Texas. He began his career at the Houston Post while studying at the University of Houston and continued there full-time after graduating in 1955. In May 1960, he moved to Dallas and joined the photography department of the Dallas Times Herald. His extensive body of work includes over 23,000 photographs chronicling various notable figures and events, and he passed away on October 22, 2008, in Dallas.
