Andy Hertzfeld, born on April 6, 1953, was a key member of the Apple Macintosh development team in the 1980s. He worked at Apple from August 1979 until March 1984 and was the main designer of the core software for the Macintosh operating system. After leaving Apple, he founded three companies: Radius in 1986, General Magic in 1990, and Eazel in 1999. He later joined Google, where he has continued to work.
