Andy Nisbet (May 22, 1953 - February 5, 2019) was a Scottish mountaineer and climbing instructor known for developing over 1000 new winter climbing routes in Scotland. He was a pioneer in mixed rock and ice climbing techniques. Nisbet received the Scottish Award for Excellence in Mountain Culture in 2014. He tragically passed away in a climbing accident in the Ben Hope area of northern Scotland while working on new winter climbing routes.
