Andy O'Mahony is an accomplished Irish broadcast journalist who served RTÉ from 1961 to 2013 as a pioneering television news anchor and a host of numerous radio and television series. He created significant radio programs on literature, economics, and culture, including 'Books and Company' and 'Off The Shelf'. He presented 'The Sunday Show' for RTÉ Radio 1 from 1988 to 2000 and contributed to BBC productions in the late 1970s and 1980s. A devoted book collector, he donated over 7000 volumes to the Glucksman Library in 2015 and published his memoir 'Creating Space' in 2016.
