Andy Wood is a British skeleton racer born on February 15, 1979, in Hillingdon. He began his skeleton career in 2003 and became part of the British national team in 2004. Under the guidance of coaches Mark Wood and Danny Holdcroft, he achieved his first significant results, including a tenth place at the 2004 British Championships and a remarkable performance in the Skeleton America's Cup. He later debuted in the Skeleton World Cup in 2007 and has participated in numerous international competitions, showing steady improvement in his rankings.
