Ángel García Roldán is a Spanish writer and screenwriter born on December 17, 1946, in Arévalo, Ávila. He lives in Madrid and works as a technical engineer while pursuing literature. Influenced by Paul Auster and Mario Vargas Llosa, he gained recognition in 1985 with his first award winning novel 'Las cortes de Coyagua'. His third book 'A boca de noche' led to the screenplay for the film 'El viaje de Carol' (2002), which was nominated for the Medal of the Cinematographic Writers Circle for best adapted screenplay. He also collaborated in TV series.
