Ángel Nieves Díaz was a Puerto Rican convict executed by lethal injection in Florida. Born on August 31, 1951, he was suspected of being a serial killer and had previously escaped from prison while serving a murder sentence in Puerto Rico. In 1979, he was convicted for the shooting death of a strip club manager. Despite his conviction, he consistently maintained his innocence until his execution on December 13, 2006.
