Ângelo Nolasco de Almeida was a Brazilian military officer born on December 13, 1905, in Rio de Janeiro. He achieved the rank of Admiral and served as the Minister of the Navy under President João Goulart from September 8, 1961, to June 27, 1962, during the first parliamentary cabinet led by Tancredo Neves. Throughout his career, he received numerous honors, including becoming an Officer of the Military Order of Avis of Portugal in 1942, and later rising to Commander in 1953 and Grand Cross in 1962.
