Anh Thơ (real name: Vương Kiều Ân) was a prominent Vietnamese poet born on January 25, 1921, in Ninh Giang, Hải Dương Province. She published her first collection of poetry, 'Hương xuân', in 1943, which was notable for being the first collection by a woman in the Vietnamese alphabet. Thơ contributed to literature as a founding member of the Vietnam Writers' Association in 1957 and worked as an editor for the magazine 'New Works' from 1971 to 1975. She passed away in Hanoi on March 14, 2005.
