Anita Strandell, born January 20, 1940, is a Swedish musician best known as the frontwoman of the band Tre Damer. She began her music career in 1966 as a vocalist in a dance orchestra in Gothenburg, later joining the successful group Gimmicks. After Gimmicks disbanded in 1976, she formed Tre Damer with Diana Nuñez and Inger Öst, performing with various notable musicians. Strandell was married to Cornelis Vreeswijk and has interpreted his songs throughout her career. Her last CD, 'Bortom tid och rum,' was released in 2008 and earned her an award in 2009.
