She has served as a captain in the 890th Mixed Helicopter Squadron since August 2017, where she instructs Military Academy cadets on the Gazelle SA341/342 helicopter. Since 2021, she has been recognized as the first woman to hold the title of test pilot in Serbian military aviation. Anja is fluent in English and German.
