Anker Thorsrud was a Norwegian truck driver, dock worker, communist, and resistance member born on December 7, 1912, in Drammen. He was involved with the Wollweber organization and later the Osvald group. He was imprisoned in Germany from 1942 until the end of World War II. After the war, he played a significant role in the organization for war invalids. He began his career as a messenger after completing elementary school and worked various jobs, eventually obtaining a truck driver's license.
