Anna Cabré i Pla is a Catalan geographer born in Barcelona in 1943. She is a professor of Human Geography at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and an expert in Demography. She directed the Centre d'Estudis Demogràfics from its inception in 1984 until 2014 and currently holds the title of honorary director. She studied political science and demography in Paris, has taught at several prestigious universities, and published numerous articles on demographic analysis. Cabré focuses on demographic forecasting and historical geography of Catalonia and is a member of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans since 2010.
