Anna Christina Nobre, born in 1963 in Rio de Janeiro, is a Brazilian neuroscientist based in the UK. She is the head of transitional cognitive neuroscience at the University of Oxford, where she also serves as a fellow at St. Catherine's College and an honorary fellow at New College. Nobre leads the Oxford Centre for Human Brain Activity, focusing on the neural dynamics underlying healthy human cognition and disorders related to mental illness and neurological disorders. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University in Chicago.
