After moving to West Berlin and eventually to Jerusalem, she became an influential psychotherapist and writer, producing autobiographical works and studies on psychoanalysis, and received recognition for her contributions to literature, including the Hans-Erich-Nossack Prize. Jokl passed away on October 21, 2001.
