Anna Smoleńska, known as 'Hanka', was a Polish scouting instructor and member of the anti-Nazi resistance. She was involved in the Szare Szeregi and Wawer organizations, participating in small sabotage activities and helping families of prisoners. She was arrested in 1942 and imprisoned at Pawiak; she was sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau on November 26, 1942, where she died less than four months later.
