Annapurna Devi (1927 – October 13, 2018) was an Indian musician and a prominent player of the surbahar, a variant of the sitar in Hindustani classical music. Renowned for her artistry, she was the daughter and disciple of the musician Allauddin Khan. She gained popularity through the name 'Annapurna' given by former Maharaja of Maihar, Brij Narain Singh. She was the first wife of sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, but after their separation, she moved to Bombay and refrained from public performances while continuing her tradition of teaching music free of charge to notable students.
