She studied at the Royal Academy of Music and taught music in Berkshire and at Trinity College of Music. Her performances included works by Beethoven, Bach, and Debussy. Despite a promising career, financial difficulties forced her to live in her car for 26 years after ceasing to teach. Naysmith tragically died in a car accident in London in 2015. Her legacy includes notable performances at prestigious venues like Wigmore Hall.
