Helvi Annikki Brander-Pitkänen, known by her pen names Anse Brand and Anselina Brand, was a Finnish elementary school teacher and writer. Born on April 2, 1912, in Pori, she graduated as a teacher in 1934. Brander-Pitkänen was married to fellow teacher Yrjö Albin Pitkänen from 1941 to 1992 and lived in Vehmersalmi from 1946 to 1970 before moving to Kuopio. As Anse Brand, she authored a historical family novel set in Raahen during the 1700s and 1800s, focusing on two merchant-lineage families.
