Anthony Watson was an accomplished American athlete born on February 5, 1941, who excelled in the long jump. He represented the USA at the 1960 Summer Olympics. A graduate of Douglass High School, Watson featured prominently for the University of Oklahoma’s track and field team, where he won the national championship in long jump in 1962. After his time at Oklahoma, he transferred to Central State University, where he completed his degree. Watson passed away on March 9, 2021.
