Antoine Ayoub is a retired emeritus professor from the Department of Economics at Laval University in Quebec, Canada. Born in 1936 in Aleppo, Syria, his research focuses on oil economics and international economics. He founded the GREEN (Research Group on Energy Economics, Natural Resources, and the Environment) in 1973, which is still active. Additionally, he co-founded and co-directs MONDER (Globalization, Energy, Environment) in 1999, which includes 13 research centers worldwide.
