Antoine Montant was a French paraglider born on February 15, 1981, who tragically died on October 23, 2011, in a base jump accident. He was a pioneering figure in the sport, being the first French Paragliding Aerobatics Champion in 2005 and successfully defending his title in the subsequent years. Alongside his brother Valery, he was also one of the early adopters of speed riding in France, achieving numerous firsts in the activity predominantly within the Chamonix Valley.
