Anton Moisescu was a Romanian politician born on February 12, 1913, who played significant roles in the government during the communist era. He served briefly as the acting Chairman of the Presidium of the Grand National Assembly, acting as interim head of state in January 1958. Moisescu was a member of the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party from 1955 until 1969. Additionally, he held diplomatic posts, including ambassador to the United States from 1954 to 1956 and to Argentina from 1956 to 1957. He passed away in 2002.
