Anton Myhra was a Norwegian philosopher born on July 11, 1947, in Larvik. He began his studies at the University of Tromsø in 1972, where he co-founded the student newspaper Utropia in 1976. He became a university lecturer in 1993 and was particularly known for his ex.phil course focused on ancient philosophers. Myhra was active in public debates and ran for office with the Red Electoral Alliance in 2007. He suffered a stroke at the age of 53 but returned to work partially before his death in February 2009.
