Anton Perne was a Slovenian lawyer and commander of the village guard, born on January 18, 1914, in Povlje. He graduated in law in 1939 and was active in the Catholic academic club. Appointed commander of the good village guards on September 15, 1942, he led them alongside chaplain Ivan Lavrih. After facing political turmoil, he was removed from his position but reinstated on September 10, 1943, to lead troops in Dobrepolje. Following fierce battles, he was captured by partisans on September 19, 1943, and shot in Velike Lašče on September 20, 1943.
