Anton Zorko was a Slovenian journalist born on May 21, 1920, in Ptuj and passed away on August 12, 2007, in Ljubljana. He graduated from high school in Ptuj in 1940 and participated in the National Liberation War starting in 1944. Zorko worked at Radio Slovenia from 1946 to 1982 as an editor, commentator, and assistant program director. He also served as a correspondent from Belgrade and Vienna. His journalistic focus included economics, domestic politics, and writing about the Slovenian minority in Austria and Italy.
