Antoni Briva i Miravent (1926-1994) was a Catalan ecclesiastic who served as the bishop of Astorga. He studied theology in Barcelona and Rome, where he earned a doctorate. Ordained in 1950, he held various ecclesiastical and academic roles, including rector of the Seminary of Barcelona and director of the Episcopal Library. Briva was deeply involved in ecumenical dialogue and held positions in the Spanish Episcopal Conference and the Vatican. He passed away from a heart attack in Astorga, where he is buried in the cathedral.
