Antonino Pennisi is an Italian philosopher and linguist born on September 28, 1954, in Catania. He served as the director of the Department of Cognitive, Psychological, Educational Sciences, and Cultural Studies at the University of Messina from 2012 to 2018. He holds a chair in the philosophy of language and his research interests mainly focus on the psychopathology of language, as well as the interplay between language, evolution, and human cognition.
