António José da Costa Raposo, born on February 8, 1948, in Santa Clara, is the primate archbishop of the Old Catholic Church in Portugal. He was ordained a priest on March 25, 1978, in the USA and served as a pastor in the Brazilian Catholic Apostolic Church. He became a bishop in Brazil on November 28, 1982, and served in various capacities including bishop of New England and Toronto. Since February 8, 1988, he has been the leader of the Old Catholic Church in Portugal and was president of the World Council of National Catholic Churches from 2003 to 2017.
