Antonio Lefebvre d'Ovidio was an Italian lawyer and businessman born in Naples in 1913. He specialized in maritime law and taught at various universities including Bari, Naples, and Rome. Throughout his career, he acquired cargo ships and ferries, ultimately founding Silversea Cruises after owning Sitmar Cruises, which merged with Princess Cruises in 1988. Lefebvre passed away on February 5, 2011, and his son, Manfredi, took over as chairman of Silversea.
