António Egrejas Leitão Amaro is a Portuguese jurist and politician, born on April 2, 1980. He currently serves as Minister of Presidency since 2024 in the XXIV Constitutional Government led by Luís Montenegro. Previously, he was Secretary of State for Local Administration from April 2013 to October 2015 and has been vice-president of the Social Democratic Party since 2022. Amaro was a member of the Assembly of the Republic for the constituencies of Viseu and Lisbon between 2009 and 2019, supporting same-sex marriage and same-sex adoption.
