Antônio Gabriel Nássara, commonly known as Nássara, was a Brazilian composer, caricaturist, and designer born in Rio de Janeiro on November 11, 1910. The son of Lebanese parents, he began composing carnival music in the 1930s, winning competitions against notable figures such as Lamartine Babo and Noel Rosa. His most significant contribution to Brazilian carnival music is the song 'Alá-lá-ô,' created in 1941 in collaboration with Haroldo Lobo, which became famous for its parodic style. Nássara passed away in Rio de Janeiro on December 11, 1996.
