Anvar Rza (Rzayev Ənvər İsmayıl oğlu) was an Azerbaijani poet and translator, born on March 3, 1939, in Aşağı Ayrım, Kəlbəcər rayon. He became a member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union in 1985. Rza earned a candidate of philology degree in 1969 and achieved the status of associate professor in 1983. His contributions to literature and translation left a notable mark until his death on June 8, 1987, in Moscow.
