He served as the President of the International Boxing Association from 1986 until 2006 and is recognized as the inventor of computer-based scoring systems in boxing. However, his career was marred by serious corruption allegations, ultimately leading to a lifetime ban from all association activities in 2007. He passed away on June 19, 2010, in Karachi, Pakistan.
