Tragically, he suffered a severe brain infection after a car accident on July 22, 2003, which left him in a coma for four years. Despite multiple surgeries, he passed away on December 9, 2007. His case drew significant media attention and raised awareness about Bangkok's water pollution issues, with a notable funeral lasting 100 days, attended by many, including Queen Sirikit.
