Ara Sureni Vahuni was an Armenian film director born on February 24, 1938, in Yerevan and passed away on April 13, 2006, in the same city. He was recognized as an Honored Art Worker of the Armenian SSR in 1982. Vahuni directed over 40 documentary films and 2 feature films, serving also as a screenwriter. One of his notable documentaries, "Voice of America," won a second-degree diploma at the HLYKEM competition festival in 1969.
