He earned a Doctor of Agricultural Sciences degree in 2004 and became a professor in 1989. He is a corresponding member of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences, a status he achieved in 1994. Blrtsyan is known for his contributions to the fields of animal breeding and veterinary science.
