Aram Boghossian, born on November 19, 1929, is a Brazilian former international freestyle swimmer from Rio de Janeiro. He started swimming at age six and competed in the 1948 and 1952 Summer Olympics. He achieved considerable success, breaking Brazilian records and winning a silver medal at the inaugural 1951 Pan American Games. After a career in swimming, he returned to Masters' competitions and now manages his family business. A son of Armenian descent, he faced early struggles in swimming but persevered, ultimately leaving a lasting legacy in the sport.
