Aram Vanetsian (1901-1971) was a Soviet graphic artist and painter born in Alexandropol, Armenia. He moved to Moscow with his family in 1903, where he began to develop his artistic skills at the Stroganov School and Vkhutemas. He created designs for productions at the Bolshoi Theatre and illustrated works by renowned authors including Pushkin and Lermontov. During World War II, he served as a war artist, producing portraits and works documenting the conflict. Post-war, he continued to exhibit his art widely, focusing on landscapes and still life.
