Ararat Martiros Aleksanyan (November 14, 1907 - September 21, 1962) was a prominent Armenian physiologist renowned for his contributions to the field. He attained a doctorate in biological sciences in 1947 and became a professor in 1949. His membership in the Armenian Academy of Sciences was recognized in 1960 when he became a corresponding member. Aleksanyan was born in Batumi, in the Russian Empire, and later passed away in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR. His work had a lasting impact on physiology and biological research in Armenia.
