Ararat Sarkissian is a prominent Armenian post-modernist conceptual artist born in 1956 in Gyumri, currently residing in Yerevan. He is a member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences and the International Association of Art. Sarkissian's artistic contributions are showcased in prestigious institutions, including the National Gallery of Armenia and the Tretyakov Gallery, among others. He represented Armenia at the 2013 Venice Art Biennale, where he creatively combined medieval Armenian epic traditions with ancient animation techniques.
