George Archibald Presby (1907-2007) was a Canadian-born American radio and television announcer, known for his work with NBC. He began his career at CFDC in Vancouver and worked at various stations in the U.S. including KOMO, KEX, and KGO. Notably, he was the voice of 'Froggy the Gremlin' on Smilin' Ed's Gang, later hosting a children's show as 'Uncle Archie.' He served as chief West Coast announcer for NBC until retirement in 1972, eventually residing in California until his passing at age 99.
