Laroudi began his journalism career in 1966 with Kayhan Varzesh and has served as the editor-in-chief of Iran's first sports newspaper, Abrar Varzeshi. He was the editor of Jahan-e Football from 2003 to 2008, mentoring many journalists across generations.
