Arest Gurgeni Beglaryan (January 28, 1938 – 2011) was an Armenian geodesist, known for his significant contributions to the field. He earned a Doctorate in Technical Sciences in 1998 and became a professor in 1992. In 1999, he was elected as an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. He served as the first rector of the Armenian State University of Architecture and Construction and was recognized as a Distinguished Figure in Science of the Republic of Armenia in 2008.
