Ir. Arie Pieter Minderhoud was a Dutch agricultural engineer born in Wilhelminadorp on March 3, 1902. He notably contributed to the Zuiderzeewerken project, becoming the director of the Wieringermeer service in 1954. He served as landdrost for the Noordoostelijke Polder and Zuidelijke IJsselmeerpolders until 1963, after which he chaired the board of the Agricultural College in Wageningen and the Zuiderzeeraad. He passed away on June 11, 1980, in Wageningen.
