Arie (Arnoldus) Stramrood was a Dutch resistance fighter during World War II, born on December 27, 1918, in Doorn. He worked as an electrician and mechanic. Stramrood, together with Frits Smit and Lambertus Wildschut, was responsible for the execution of police officer Hendrik Huizing on March 11, 1944. He also participated in a raid on the Amsterdam House of Detention on July 14-15, 1944. Stramrood was executed by firing squad in the dunes near Overveen on July 16, 1944, alongside thirteen others, including notable resistance fighter Johannes Post.
